HVAC_SIDE_MIRROR_HEAT

What it is

Side Mirror Heat

Increasing values denote higher heating levels for side mirrors.

The maxInt32Value and minInt32Value in VehicleAreaConfig must be defined. All integers between minInt32Value and maxInt32Value must be supported.

The maxInt32Value in the config data represents the maximum heating level. The minInt32Value in the config data MUST be zero and indicates no heating.

This property is not in any particular unit but in a specified range of relative heating settings.

This property is defined as VehiclePropertyAccess.READ_WRITE, but OEMs have the option to implement it as VehiclePropertyAccess.READ only.

How the ID is built

A property ID is a 32-bit value packing four fields. Reading 0x1440050c apart:

FieldMaskValueMeans
Group0xf00000000x10000000SYSTEM
Area0x0f0000000x04000000MIRROR
Type0x00ff00000x00400000INT32
Ordinal0x0000ffff0x0000050c0x50c

Reading it from an app

CarPropertyManager mgr = (CarPropertyManager)
        car.getCarManager(Car.PROPERTY_SERVICE);

int value =
        mgr.getIntProperty(VehiclePropertyIds.HVAC_SIDE_MIRROR_HEAT, areaId);

This property can be read and written, though an OEM may implement it as read-only. It fires a callback whenever the value changes.
